SporkAlerts does not use Discord's privileged intents (Message Content, Server Members, Presence). It cannot read regular messages in your server.

That's the whole list. No message snooping, no member lists, no presence tracking, no DMs, no analytics. Cancelled schedules and their images are deleted immediately. Full details in the Privacy Policy.

FAQ

Who can create and manage schedules? ▼

Server admins always can. Beyond that, admins can grant configurator roles in /config setup — anyone with one of those roles can create, edit, and cancel schedules. Everyone else just sees the messages.

Do I need to learn a cron syntax or command format? ▼

No. Run /sched create and an interactive wizard opens — dropdowns and buttons for the channel, timing, content, and pings, with a live summary before you confirm. No syntax to memorize.

My schedule fires at the wrong time ▼

Check your server's configured timezone — schedules fire based on it, not on each member's local time. Set it in /config setup or directly with /config timezone (it autocompletes as you type).

Why won't my schedule ping a role? ▼

The bot needs the "Mention All Roles" permission to ping roles that aren't mentionable by everyone. Grant it in your server's role settings, or make the target role mentionable.

What happens if the bot is offline when a schedule is due? ▼

Schedules may be delayed or missed during outages, maintenance, or Discord platform issues. Configurations persist across restarts, so your schedules pick right back up — but for genuinely time-critical messages, keep a backup plan.

How do I delete my server's data? ▼

Cancelling a schedule from /sched list deletes its data and images immediately. To remove everything, remove the bot from your server and contact us via the support server — we'll purge any residual configuration.
